CRUEL LOVE : CHAPTER TWO [ THE BEGINNING ]

Present

Every guest is congratulating Gia and Joel for their marriage. Mya walks towards Gia while holding a glass of wine. Suddenly, Mya trips on her dress and the wine spills on Gia's wedding shoes and a bit on her white gown.

Mya feels very sorry but Gia is a nice girl, so she is fine. Gia go to change her dress and shoes. Joel saw the incident and his face expression is unexplained.

The event is over. Mya arrived at her house. She parked the car. As soon as she went out from her car, something knocked her head really hard. She blacked out.

The next day. . . 

Ring! Ring! Ring! Gia's phone was ringing. Sarah's name popped up.

“Hello Sarah.”

“Hi, Gia...” Sarah hesitated.

“What's wrong?”

“Mya. She is in coma.”

Gia was startled.

Sarah told Gia that a neighbor found Mya unconscious and her hand cut.

Gia couldn’t go there because she was in her honeymoon.

After a week, Gia and Joel came home. Gia rushed to meet Mya. She asked Mya what had happened. Mya cried really hard. She said she didn’t know. She still couldn’t accept she had lost a hand. Police were still investigating the case but it's hard because there wasn’t much clue.

After a month, Gia and Joel wanted to host a housewarming party as they bought a new house. They wanted to invite all their friends.

“Hello Sarah. Can you help me to contact our friends? You know I don't really call them.”

“Do you want to invite him as well?”

“Yeah. Why not? He's not my enemy.”

“Okay then.”

Gia and Joel were busy greeting their guest. Then a man approached them.

“Hi Gia. You look good.”

“Hehe thanks. You look much better than last time”. Gia smile awkwardly.

“”By the way, babe this is Ethan, Ethan this is my husband, Joel.” Gia introduced them to each other.

“Hi Joel, I'm Gia's old friend.”

“Nice to meet you Ethan.” Joel shake and grasped Ethan's hand hardly and showed his unexplained face.

“We didn't contact each other for a very long time.”Gia tried to break the tension.

“I tried to get through you but I guessed you didn't want to.”

Ethan tried to talk more to Gia, but she was uncomfortable.

“Ethan excuse us because we still have a lot of guests to say hi.” They walked away.
