CRUEL LOVE : CHAPTER FOUR [ UNEXPECTED ]

Gia went into Joel's work room. While tidying his books and documents, Gia found Joel's medical report. There's nothing more surprising than what she read on his medical report. Joel has a mental problem. She was scared. Then she saw a few pieces of newspaper about killing, accident and mental health.

Gia was looking at Joel while he was sleeping. A lot of things came through her mind. She was afraid that the incidents with Mya and the cat were because of Joel.

At the café, Gia met Ethan.

“Ethan, I want to talk to you about Joel.” Gia looked anxious.

“What's wrong?” Ethan asked in a serious mode.

Gia showed Ethan the photo she took about Joel's medical report and other things.

“Oh my god, this is serious Gia. Did you never know about this?” Ethan was shocked.

“Yes. I never heard about this at all. You need to help me. You're a cop and surely have dealt with something like this.”

“Yes. A few times. But what do you want me to help?”

“I'm afraid what had happened to Mya was because of him.”

Suddenly, Joel came into the café. Gia and Ethan quickly changed their.

“What is he doing here?” Joel asked Gia.

“Mm... He wanted to discuss about Emery's birthday party. Yeah, he wanted to order food from my café.” Gia slightly looked at Ethan and made a face to make Ethan agreed.

“Yes yes. Emery's birthday is coming soon. Actually, we're done. Excuse me first and if anything I'll call you Gia.”

“Okay, bye.”

Gia and Joel went home together but Joel only dropped Gia.

“Where are you going?” Gia wondered.

“I left a few important documents at my office. So, I need to go back. It's okay, you don't need to wait for me.”

Gia was worried and felt uneasy. She called Ethan.

“Hello Ethan, Joel said he is going to his office but I don't think so. If he meets you, please call me.”

“Okay.”

Fifteen minutes later...

“Hey Gia, I think he's here.”

“Okay, just don't hang up and put your phone close to you.”

“Hey man, what bring you here?” Ethan greeted Joel in a cool way.

“I want to warn you to stay away from Gia.”

“But we're friend.”

“You’re not gonna back off right? Okay then.”

Bam! The phone went off.

Ethan fell down. Joel brought a sharp knife.

Gia tried to call Ethan back but there was no answer. She started the car and rushed to Ethan's house.

“Joel please relax. This is a small matter.” Ethan tried to make Joel calm down.

“You know what ..? I've done this many times.”

“Done what?”

Argh! Joel tried to stab Ethan's eye. He blocked the knife with his hand. Ethan was bleeding.

“Stop! Joel! What are you doing?”

“Babe.” Joel was surprised upon seeing Gia was there.

Ethan saw an opportunity. He grabbed Joel's hand and pulled him down on the ground.

Gia had to call police.

After the case, Joel was sent to the mental hospital to get treatment. Gia tried to meet him a few times, but he refused to. They split up.
